The Washington Wildcats will take on the Highland Park Scots at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Washington knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 31 points or more in their past seven contests -- so hopefully Highland Park likes a good challenge.

Washington's defensive line made their presence known, laying out Evans four times. Schlagle's QB won't forget Zayvion Hayslett anytime soon given he sacked him three times. Hayslett has been hot for a while, having posted at least one sack the last 11 times he's played.
Meanwhile, Highland Park hadn't done well against Atchison recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way two weeks ago. The Scots were the clear victors by a 42-18 margin over the Phoenix. The result was nothing new for the Scots, who have now won three matchups by 24 points or more so far this season.
Washington better keep an eye on Dontrail Fox. He was instrumental in Highland Park's win, throwing for 191 yards and three TDs on only ten passes, while also rushing for 45 yards and one score. That's the most passing touchdowns Fox has posted since back in September of 2024. Highland Park also got a significant boost from Ghoni Montgomery, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 85 yards.
Highland Park was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 423 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.
Highland Park's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Washington, they pushed their record up to 7-0 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.
Washington couldn't quite get it done against Highland Park in their previous matchup back in October of 2024 as they fell 38-28. Thankfully for the Wildcats, Jamon Wilson (who rushed for 203 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 11 carries, and also picked up 120 receiving yards and one TD) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
