Granada and Foothill are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2019, but likely not for long. The Matadors will head out on the road to challenge the Falcons at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Granada is coming into the game hot, having won their last five games.
Granada is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They put the hurt on Liberty with a sharp 13-4 victory on Saturday. The result was nothing new for the Matadors, who have now won six matches by six runs or more so far this season.
Mason Ravera looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits.

On the hitting side, Mikey Boyd was a standout: he got on base in four of his five plate appearances with three runs, one double, and one RBI. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Peyton Richards was another key player, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with three RBI and one double.
Granada kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in three consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Foothill, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Dublin 8-7.
Jackson Hoban looked comfortable as he tossed 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one hit in seven consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Foothill got a big performance out of Hudson Flora, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Tanner Tarpley, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.
Granada's victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-3. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.0 runs over those games. As for Foothill, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season.
Granada took their victory against Foothill when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 10-3 score. Will the Matadors repeat their success, or do the Falcons have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
