Everything went Central Catholic's way against Downey as Central Catholic made off with a 52-28 win. This was payback for Central Catholic, who suffered a 38-24 loss the last time these two teams met.
Central Catholic's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Taryn Calderon led the charge by scoring 14 points. Allie Abbate was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Several Knights players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Zadie Carraway,, who scored 7 points along with 7 rebounds.
