After a string of four wins, the West Valley Eagles's good fortune finally ran out  on Friday. They fell just short of Anderson by a score of  58-55. West Valley was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cubs apparently hadn't forgotten their  defeat the last time these teams played  back in January.
 Despite the loss, West Valley still got an impressive performance from   Kayla Wiley, who  dropped  a double-double on 27 points and 12  rebounds. Wiley has been hot recently, having posted 12 or more  rebounds the last three times she's  played. Another player making a difference was  Tannah Taff, who  scored six points along with six  rebounds and six  steals.
 West Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 19-7. As for Anderson, they are  on a roll lately: they've  won five of their last six contests,  which provided a nice bump to their 21-5 record this season.
 West Valley will be playing in front of their home fans against the Panthers at 7:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. University Prep is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road. As for Anderson, they will  take on the Miners at 6:00  p.m.  on Wednesday.
