Hawkinsville waltzed into their game on Friday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 6-5 W against the Telfair County Trojans. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Red Devils have posted since February 24th.

Tanner Meeks made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances. He was even better at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-4. Hawkinsville is 8-1 when Meeks posts two or more runs, but 1-5 otherwise.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Harlem Phillips, who went 3-for-4 with four stolen bases, three doubles, and four RBI. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 1.2 stolen bases per game.
