It was a good run, but University Prep unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Thursday. They lost 10-3 to the Hesperia Christian Patriots. The Jaguars were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Patriots earlier this season, when they won 9-6.

Adriel Salazar made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two doubles and two RBI. Joseph Campos also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

University Prep's loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 9-5. As for Hesperia Christian, their win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 8-9.

Coming up, University Prep will challenge Riverside Prep at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hesperia Christian, they will take on Big Bear at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The Patriots' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bears have averaged an impressive 10.1 runs per game this season.
