Jarlon Drye Goes Supernova in Northwest Cabarrus Win
Jarlon Drye's big game helped extend Northwest Cabarrus's winning streak to six on Friday. Nobody could stop Drye as he rushed for 167 yards and two touchdowns on only 13 carries. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his seventh straight game with at least 100 rushing yards dating back to last season.
On the year, Drye has run in 15 touchdowns while averaging 171.9 rushing yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he was only averaging 18.86 rushing yards per game.

LJ Watson and Co. Win Seventh in a Row
LJ Watson was instrumental in extending Robinson's winning streak to seven on Friday. Watson was unstoppable, rushing for 90 yards and three touchdowns on only 12 carries.
Robinson pushed their record up to 7-0 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Watson and Robinson will square off against South Rowan at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Northwest Cabarrus picked up their sixth consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Jackson Forrest. Forrest turned in nothing short of a gem, picking up a sack, forcing a fumble, and making 15 total tackles (2.0 for loss).
If history really does repeat itself, Forrest might just drop another big game when he faces off against Concord on Friday. When Forrest last faced the Spiders back in October of 2023, he picked up two sacks, forced a fumble, and made 12 total tackles (7.0 for loss).

Kevin Toomer Turns in Another Game with at Least Five Total Tackles
Kevin Toomer continued his hot streak on Friday by dropping his sixth-straight game with at least five total tackles. He picked up two sacks and made 11 total tackles (3.0 for loss). He is becoming a predictor of West Rowan's success: when he posts at least two sacks the team is 2-1 (and 1-3 when he doesn't).
West Rowan now has a losing record at 3-4. Toomer and West Rowan will challenge Central Cabarrus at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Rounding off our Top Five is PJ Butler of East Rowan. Butler picked up 80 receiving yards and a touchdown. He didn't just play on offense: he also defended two passes and snagged an interception.
East Rowan is on a 17-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7. Butler and East Rowan will square off against Carson at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
