Mountain House saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Callahan Healy, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Meanwhile, Patterson came tearing into Wednesday's matchup with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3.5 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Falcons 11-1. That looming 11-1 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Tigers yet this season.
Noah Cozart made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed five innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in 12 consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one double. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high.
In other pitching news, Izaya Fijman looked comfortable as he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, he posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in February.
Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on Max Medina, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with two runs and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Cole Medina, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with one run.
Patterson's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-10. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.7 runs over those games. As for Mountain House, their loss dropped their record down to 6-19-1.
