At the plate, Rodrigo Beltranena was incredible, scoring four runs and stealing Two bases. while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Those four runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Drew Gall, who scored three runs while going 3-for-3.
Meanwhile, Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory got themselves on the board against El Camino on Saturday, but El Camino never followed suit. They walked away with a 4-0 win over the Colts.
Alexei Tioupine looked comfortable as he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Max Matthews, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Those hits marked the first that he got this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Tommy Do, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.
Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .414. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
