The Redwood Rangers will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against the Monache Marauders at 6:30 p.m. Redwood will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 434th, while Monache is ranked 61st).
Last Thursday, Redwood came up short against Porterville and fell 45-36. Redwood has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Meanwhile, Monache was able to grind out a solid win over El Diamante on Thursday, taking the game 53-40. The win made it back-to-back wins for Monache.
Redwood's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-9. As for Monache, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-2 record this season.
Redwood was taken down by Monache 63-26 in their previous matchup back in February of 2023. Can Redwood avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
