The Hart Indians scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. Couldn't have asked for a better start to 2024 than the 95-23 blowout they got at home against Castaic. The result was nothing new for Hart, who have now won nine matchups by 21 points or more so far this season.
Hart was led to victory by Andrea Aina and Morgan Mack. Aina went 6 for 12 from beyond the arc en route to 22 points and 3 assists, while Mack scored 18 points along with seven assists and five rebounds. The game was Mack's 16th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Taylor Koebel, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Castaic struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only an offensive rebound. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
The win was the third in a row for Hart, bringing their record for this year to 13-5. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 47.67 points. As for Castaic, they bumped their record down to 2-9 with that loss, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hart will take on West Ranch at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. West Ranch will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 385th, while Hart is ranked 109th). As for Castaic, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Canyon at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Canyon is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 52.1 points per game.
