The Grossmont Foothillers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 83-40 victory over Point Loma on the road. The victory was nothing new for Grossmont as they're now sitting on eight straight.
Grossmont got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jaliyah Fleming out in front who went 6 for 9 from beyond the arc en route to 24 points and 1 assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Aakash Price, who scored 17 points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
Grossmont's win bumped their record up to 11-1. As for Point Loma, their loss dropped their record down to 7-3.
Grossmont will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Del Norte at 6:00 p.m. on December 22nd. Del Norte is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. Point Loma won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Castle Park at 9:00 a.m. on December 22nd. Castle Park will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 951st, while Point Loma is ranked 324th).
