Leading Surry Central to victory were Tripp Mcmillen and Ayden Wilmoth. Mcmillen scored 19 points along with eight rebounds and three steals, while Wilmoth dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds. Maddox Martin was another key contributor, scoring six points.
Surry Central is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. As for East Surry, their loss dropped their record down to 6-11.
Surry Central will be playing in front of their home fans against West Wilkes at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. West Wilkes is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses. As for East Surry, they will head out on the road to square off against North Wilkes at 8:30 p.m. on Friday.
