It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but De La Salle had no problem doing just that  on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Foothill Falcons with a sharp  10-1 victory. The Spartans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 17 matchups by six  runs or more this season.
 Graham Schlicht spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on six hits and racked up six Ks.
 At the plate, De La Salle got a  massive  performance out of  Antonio Castro, who  fired off two  home runs and five  RBI while going 2-for-4. Those  two  home runs gave  Castro a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of  Tyler Spangler, who  got on base  in three of his four plate appearances with one  home run and three  runs.
 They weren't the only ones working in the  home run department: De La Salle  lost a few balls and  finished the game with three  home runs. That's the most  home runs they've managed all season.
De La Salle is  on a roll lately: they've  won 15 of their last 16 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-4 record  this season. The  wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 9.6 runs over those games. As for Foothill, their loss dropped their record down to 21-7.
As of now, neither De La Salle nor the Falcons have any future games scheduled.
