Football Game Preview: DeSoto Eagles vs. Skyline Raiders + Official Tickets

DeSoto has gone a perfect 5-0 against Skyline recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Eagles will head out to challenge the Raiders at 7:30 p.m. Skyline took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on DeSoto, who comes in off a win.

DeSoto is headed into the matchup after thoroughly thrashing Cedar Hill: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Eagles blew the Longhorns out of the water with a 46-9 final score. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Longhorns recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

A big part of DeSoto's victory came down to the chemistry between Legend Howell and his top target Ethan Feaster. Howell threw for 228 yards and a pair of touchdowns while completing 72.7% of his passes while Feaster picked up 111 receiving yards and one TD. Feaster's receiving production has been exceptional as that marked his sixth straight game with at least 106 receiving yards. Antron Edmundson got in on the action too, returning a kick for a touchdown.

Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for Skyline's offense. They were outmatched by Waxahachie and fell 49-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Raiders in their meetings with the Indians: they've now lost four in a row.

DeSoto's win bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Skyline, their loss dropped their record down to 1-6.

Everything came up roses for DeSoto against Skyline in their previous matchup back in November of 2024, as the team secured a 49-14 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
