The Lower Moreland Lions can now show off five landslide victories after their most recent contest on Thursday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Wissahickon 62-32 at home. The victory was just what Lower Moreland needed coming off of a 55-30 loss in their prior contest.
Briana Mcferran was her usual excellent self, scoring 25 points along with five steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Dani Brusha, who scored ten points along with five steals.
Lower Moreland pushed their record up to 9-4 with that win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.4 points per game. As for Wissahickon, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lower Moreland will square off against Marple Newtown at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Pennsylvania (Marple Newtown is ranked 159th, while Lower Moreland is ranked 166th). As for Wissahickon, they will head out on the road to square off against Cheltenham at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
