Gregori extended their losing streak to four on Monday, dropping them down to 3-7. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Turlock Bulldogs. The Jaguars were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bulldogs apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2025.
Mike Carrera spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on three hits.

At the plate, Gregori saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sebastian Joseph, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base and one run. Joseph has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last seven times he's played.
As for Turlock, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-4. Those three runs were actually the fewest they have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.
On Turlock's side, they also let their pitcher toss all seven innings and he was also dialed-in: Cooper Pacheco gave up only one earned (and one unearned) run on two hits. Pacheco also tossed a walk, which is notable because the Bulldogs are 3-1 when he allows at most two walks, but 2-3 otherwise.
On the hitting side, Aiden De Los Santos was excellent, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. That stolen base marked the first that he has snagged this season. Another player making a difference was Adam Torres, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.
While Gregori had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
