Sadly, Hillel Academy are still looking for their first win of the season after 11 games. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 46-23 walloping at the hands of Jeannette on Monday. Hillel Academy has not had much luck with Jeannette recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Jeannette got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Venicia Vignoli out in front who scored 20 points along with eight rebounds and five steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Vignoli has scored all season. Adriana Allison was another key contributor, almost dropping a double-double on 11 points and nine rebounds.
Hillel Academy dropped their record down to 0-11 with that loss, which was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Jeannette, the win got them back to even at 7-7.
Hillel Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Jeannette, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against St. Joseph at 6:30 p.m. St. Joseph will roll in looking for their 12th straight victory, something Jeannette surely won't give up without a fight.
