Cass never got on the board in their matchup on Thursday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Hiram on Monday. They put the hurt on the Hornets with a sharp 13-5 win. Considering the Colonels have won nine contests by more than seven runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Cass has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.5 runs over those games. As for Hiram, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 11 of their last 12 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-15 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Cass is set to square off against their familiar foe Southeast Whitfield County at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Hiram will take on rival Woodland at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
