The Orange Glen Patriots lost against the Santa Fe Christian Eagles on January 9th, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Orange Glen took a 47-34 hit to the loss column at the hands of Santa Fe Christian. Orange Glen has not had much luck with Santa Fe Christian recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Santa Fe Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jennifer Stanion led the charge by scoring seven points along with 16 rebounds and seven assists. Stanion hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for six straight games. Alesea Haynes was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with seven rebounds and four steals.
Orange Glen's defeat dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Santa Fe Christian, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-10.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Orange Glen will take on Tri-City Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Tri-City Christian is no doubt hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for Santa Fe Christian, they the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Canyon Crest Academy at 4:30 p.m. on January 29th. Canyon Crest Academy has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
