Leadership scored the most runs they've had this season on Wednesday, but it wasn't enough. They came up short against the KIPP King Lions, falling 27-8. The loss continues a trend for Leadership in their meetings with KIPP King: they've now lost four in a row.

Leadership now has a losing record of 2-3. As for KIPP King, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Leadership will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Mare Island Tech Academy at 4:00 p.m. on the 18th. As for KIPP King, they will challenge Leadership Public Schools Richmond at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Pumas will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Lions surely won't give up without a fight.
