The Methacton Warriors suffered their biggest loss since December 15, 2023 on Saturday. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 56-34 walloping at the hands of North Penn. While losing is never fun, Methacton can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 441st, while North Penn is ranked 26th).
Methacton's loss came despite strong showings from Abby Arnold and Margaret Toaso. Arnold scored 14 points along with five rebounds and two steals, while Toaso scored four points. Arnold hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games.
Methacton bumped their record down to 2-13 with that loss, which was their ninth straight on the road. As for North Penn, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 10-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Methacton will take on Perkiomen Valley at 6:45 p.m. on Monday. Perkiomen Valley is coming into the contest hot, having won their last six games. As for North Penn, they will be playing at home against Pennridge at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
