The Sutter Huskies won the last time they faced the Twelve Bridges Raging Rhinos, and things went their way on Monday too. Sutter came out on top in a nail-biter against Twelve Bridges and snuck past 54-51.
It was another big night for Torrence Harter, who almost dropped a triple-double on ten points, 14 rebounds, and nine assists. Harter is crushing the rebound category: she's posted at least nine every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Sydney Meagher, who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds.
Twelve Bridges lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Maisie Dennis, who scored 15 points along with five steals. Addison Carpenter was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Sutter pushed their record up to 13-13 with that win, which was their third straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.7 points per game. As for Twelve Bridges, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-16.
Sutter will be playing in front of their home fans against Colfax at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Sutter will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 554th, while Colfax is ranked 69th). As for Twelve Bridges, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on Center at 7:00 p.m. on February 7th. Hopefully Twelve Bridges focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Monday.
