It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Sayre Sabres had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Warriors by a score of 50-37.
Sayre had a senior duo take command as Brionn Veal-Coston dropped a double-double on 22 points and 13 rebounds and Kwaudia Carter Lewis scored 17 points along with seven rebounds and seven steals. That makes it ten consecutive games in which Veal-Coston has scored at least a third of Sayre's points. Another player making a difference was Mischa Ferguson-Bell, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten steals.
Sayre's win bumped their record up to 9-3. As for Franklin Towne, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-6.
Sayre didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 62-50 victory vs. Constitution on the 9th. Franklin Towne does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
