The Colfax Falcons waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with 14 straight wins but they left with 15. They beat Placer by the very same score they won with last week: 65-22. Colfax has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 matches by 21 points or more this season.
Colfax found their leader in underclassman Madalyn Sigrist, who scored 20 points along with four steals. Sigrist has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last 11 times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Laurlyn Massick, who scored 15 points along with four steals.
Colfax's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 22-1. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.2 points per game. As for Placer, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 13-11.
Colfax will be playing at home against the Indians at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Marysville has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 369 points over their last five games. As for Placer, they will head out on the road to challenge the Fighting Zebras at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Lincoln is coming into the game hot, having won their last 11 games.
