The Chestnut Ridge Lions's recent rough patch got a bit rougher  on Wednesday after their third straight loss. They were outmatched by Bishop McCort at home  and fell  66-28. While losing is never fun, Chestnut Ridge can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage  in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings  (they are ranked 208th, while Bishop McCort is ranked 14th).
 Loss or not, Chestnut Ridge got some senior leadership from  Isabella Hillegass and  Ashlie Weaver.  Hillegass  scored eight points along with eight  rebounds and two  steals, while  Weaver.  scored 13 points along with six  rebounds. Hillegass has been hot recently, having posted eight or more  rebounds the last three times she's  played.
 Bishop McCort was led to victory by  Gianna Gallucci and  Cami Beppler.  Gallucci  scored 21 points along with six  rebounds and three  steals, while  Beppler  scored 21 points along with five  steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points  Beppler has scored all season. Another player making a difference was  Ava Zucco, who  scored ten points along with four  steals.
 Chestnut Ridge has  been struggling recently, as they've  lost six of their last eight games,  which put a noticeable dent in their 7-7 record this season. As for Bishop McCort, the  victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 14-0.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Chestnut Ridge will  take on Bishop Carroll at 7:15  p.m.  on Monday. Bishop McCort's road trip will continue as they head out to face Tyrone at 7:15  p.m.  on January 19th.
