Lemoore has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will face off against the Hanford Bullpups at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Lemoore will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 938th, while Hanford is ranked 448th).
Last Thursday, Lemoore was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 38-32 to Tulare Western.
Meanwhile, Hanford waltzed into their game on Thursday with three straight wins but they left with four. They came out on top against Mission Oak by a score of 61-54.
Kenyah Stubbs continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 42 points along with nine rebounds and six assists. That makes it 19 consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Hanford's points. Nevaeh Lockett was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with 15 rebounds and four blocks.
Lemoore bumped their record down to 4-15 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Hanford, the victory got them back to even at 10-10.
Lemoore might still be hurting after the 64-42 loss they got from Hanford in their previous matchup back in February of 2023. Thankfully for Lemoore, Ana SofiaQuezada (who scored 16 points along with nine assists and three steals) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
