Baseball Recap: Northside Has No Trouble Against Sumter County

While Northside put up plenty of runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for Sumter County. The Eagles blew past the Panthers 15-0. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

The team relied heavily on Caden Nelson, who scored two runs and stole three bases while going 2-for-3. What's more, he posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in February. The team also got some help courtesy of Ellijah Rozier, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Northside always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .656. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Sumter County only posted an OBP of .214.

Northside's victory bumped their record up to 6-16. As for Sumter County, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-15.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Northside will welcome Thomas County Central at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Sumter County, they will be playing at home against Turner County at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
