The Credo Gryphon's's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They took a 38-21 bruising from Rio Lindo Adventist.
Credo's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Reilly Fay, who scored 11 points, and Kendelle Lannert who scored eight points.
Belen Hernandez was her usual excellent self, scoring 20 points along with seven rebounds and five steals for Rio Lindo Adventist. The contest was Hernandez's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Kaia Miller, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds and three blocks.
Credo bumped their record down to 4-7 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 17.8 points per game. As for Rio Lindo Adventist, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season.
Credo will be home for the holidays to greet Santa Rosa at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Rio Lindo Adventist, they will head out on the road to face off against Pacific Union College Prep at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
