Newark Memorial won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Wednesday. They took a serious blow against James Logan, falling 69-25. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Newark Memorial in their matchups with the Colts: they've now lost nine in a row.
Despite their defeat, Newark Memorial saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Sydney Scott, who scored 11 points, was perhaps the best of all. The team also got some help courtesy of Angelina Baca, who scored six points.
Mission San Jose's loss dropped their record down to 5-16. As for Newark Memorial, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-15 record this season.
