Baseball Recap: Cony Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

Cony extended their winning streak to four on Wednesday, bumping them up to 10-2. Everything went their way against the Erskine Academy Eagles as they made off with a 15-5 victory. Considering the Rams have won nine games by more than seven runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

As for Erskine Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss they have suffered since April 29th.

For Erskine Academy's part, Carter Ulmer was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. The Eagles are 3-1 when Ulmer posts two or more runs, but 0-7 otherwise.

Looking ahead, Cony will face off against Winslow at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Black Raiders have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 13.22 runs per game on average), something the Rams will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Erskine Academy, they will head out to take on Medomak Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
