Valley Center's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jazmin Velazquez, who scored 8 points along with 6 rebounds.
Vista's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-0. As for Valley Center, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
