The Franklin Knights won the last time they faced the Oil City Oilers, and things went their way on Thursday too. Franklin blew past Oil City 38-18.
It was another big night for Katie Boal, who scored nine points along with seven rebounds and seven blocks. Boal is crushing the block category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jamie Blum, who scored nine points along with three steals.
Franklin's victory bumped their record up to 12-8. As for Oil City, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season.
Franklin will be playing at home against Meadville at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Franklin is facing Meadville at the right time seeing as Meadville is stuck on a 17-game losing streak. As for Oil City, they will head out on the road to square off against Conneaut Area at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Oil City will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings (they are ranked 498th, while Conneaut Area is ranked 215th).
