The Roybal Titans's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their third straight loss. They were dealt a 65-13 defeat at the hands of Hollywood. Roybal was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 34-9.
Despite the loss, Roybal still got an impressive performance from Angie Sebastian, who scored five points. Sebastian scored a full 38.5% of Roybal's points, the fourth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Roybal bumped their record down to 1-8 with that loss, which was their fourth straight at home. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 17.0 points per game. As for Hollywood, their win bumped their record up to 7-2.
Roybal will be playing in front of their home fans against Mendez at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Mendez comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 23 points in their last three games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse. Hollywood is on the road again on Thursday and play against Belmont at 4:00 p.m. on January 11th. Belmont will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 1282nd, while Hollywood is ranked 569th).
