Orthopaedic is 8-2 against Aspire Ollin since February of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Wednesday. The Orthopaedic Vipers will be playing at home against the Aspire Ollin Jaguars at 2:30 p.m. Orthopaedic's defense has only allowed 28.7 points per game this season, so Aspire Ollin's offense will have their work cut out for them.
Last Friday, Orthopaedic didn't have too much trouble with Downtown Magnets at home as they won 36-21.
Betzabeth Lopez and Kelsy Baez were among the main playmakers for Orthopaedic as the former scored nine points and the latter scored 14 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Baez has scored all season.
Meanwhile, Aspire Ollin's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They were beaten by USC-MAE 38-10. Aspire Ollin has struggled against USC-MAE recently, as their match on Friday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
Orthopaedic's win bumped their record up to 5-8. As for Aspire Ollin, their defeat was their fifth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 2-11.
Orthopaedic was able to grind out a solid victory over Aspire Ollin in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, winning 36-25. Will Orthopaedic repeat their success, or does Aspire Ollin have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
