The R-S Central Hilltoppers can bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 33-6 victory over Patton. The high flying offensive effort was a definite turnaround for R-S Central's flat 12-point performance the matchup before.
Marcus Logan had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 182 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 11.4 yards per carry. That's the first time this season that Logan punched in two or more rushing touchdowns. Marcus Mckinney also deserves a mention for his punt return touchdown.
R-S Central's victory on Friday bumped their record up to 2-5. Patton still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-7.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. R-S Central will take on East Rutherford at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. East Rutherford know how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three contests -- so hopefully R-S Central's defense is ready. Patton will look to defend their home field on Friday against Brevard at 7:30 p.m. Brevard will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
