This season hasn't been kind to the Yerba Buena Aztec Warriors, who are still winless after their eighth contest. The New Year welcomed they with a 61-12 whooping from Del Mar on Saturday. Yerba Buena was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 36-5.
It was another big night for Zoey Hinkle, who dropped a double-double on 35 points and 14 rebounds for Del Mar. Hinkle has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last five times she's played. Arseama Kibrom was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 15 points and 11 assists.
Yerba Buena bumped their record down to 0-8 with that defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Del Mar, the win got them back to even at 7-7.
