When it comes to explaining why Wahoo lost, one person who can't be blamed is Sidney Smart. Despite the final result, she scored 14 points along with six assists and five steals. Smart is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last five games she's played. Another player making a difference was Gretchen Seagren, who scored seven points along with 12 rebounds and two blocks.
Wahoo dropped their record down to 8-6 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Malcolm, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season.
