After two games on the road, Center is heading back home. They will take on the Wheatland Pirates at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Wednesday, Center was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 48-44 to Twelve Bridges.
The losing side was boosted by Miessah Sagun, who scored 18 points along with five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Amelia Murillo-Barocio, who scored six points along with 12 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Wheatland suffered a rough 57-32 defeat at the hands of Bear River on Wednesday. Wheatland has not had much luck with Bear River recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Center has traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-17 record this season. As for Wheatland, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 8-17.
Center came up short against Wheatland in their previous meeting back in January, falling 38-34. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Wheatland's Michaela Davis, who almost dropped a double-double on 23 points and nine rebounds. Now that Center knows the damage she can cause, will they be able to stop her this time? There's only one way to find out.
