Saluda is 10-0 against Ridge Spring-Monetta since December of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Wednesday. The Saluda Tigers will host the Ridge Spring-Monetta Trojans at 6:15 p.m.

Everything went their way against Blackville-Hilda on Tuesday as Ridge Spring-Monetta made off with a 67-42 victory. The Trojans pushed the score to 53-30 by the end of the third, a deficit the Fighting Hawks had little chance of recovering from.

Ridge Spring-Monetta's win came from a few key players Saluda will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Taylah Leaphart, who went 13 of 16 on her way to 28 points. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 15.6 points per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Ny'Asia Young, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 boards.

Ridge Spring-Monetta was working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in December of 2023.

Ridge Spring-Monetta's win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 4-3. As for Saluda, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 3-2.

Saluda strolled past Ridge Spring-Monetta in their previous matchup on December 2nd by a score of 59-42. Will Saluda repeat their success, or does Ridge Spring-Monetta have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
