Piner put the finishing touches on their eighth blowout victory of the season on Thursday. They put the hurt on Healdsburg with a sharp 7-1 victory. Dulce Aguirre Cuevas was a massive factor in the win, as she booted in five goals all by herself.
Meanwhile, after a string of six wins, Marin Academy's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell 4-2 to University. Marin Academy has struggled against University recently, as their matchup on Saturday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Piner pushed their record up to 10-4-2 with that win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 23 goals over those four matchups. As for Marin Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 10-6-1.
