The James Lick Comets were the 63-55 winner over the Mountain View Spartans when they last played one another back in December of 2018, but their luck changed this time around. James Lick took a serious blow against Mountain View on Tuesday, falling 79-9. James Lick was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 51-1.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Mountain View to victory, but perhaps none more so than Alana Hernandez, who scored 18 points along with 3 steals. Liz Cardenas was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with 5 rebounds and 5 steals.
James Lick's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Mountain View, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. James Lick will face off against Independence at 7:00 p.m. on November 30th. As for Mountain View, they will head out on the road to face off against Monte Vista Christian at 7:00 p.m. on November 29th.
