The Shalhevet Firehawks will head out on the road to challenge the Wiseburn- Da Vinci Wolves at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Shalhevet's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 25-0 margin over Animo City of Champions. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Firehawks.

Liam Putnam made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and not a single walk). Those six strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with three runs, four RBI, and one double. He has become a key player for Shalhevet: the team is undefeated when he posts at least three RBI, but 3-11 otherwise.
In other batting news, Yakov Liberman was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, five runs, and four RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Ari Elad, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with five runs, three RBI, and one stolen base.
Meanwhile, Wiseburn- Da Vinci had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. Everything went their way against Environmental Charter on Saturday as they made off with a 22-0 win. The Wolves might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight games by six runs or more this season.
Jered Fan looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Edward Sanchez was incredible, going 4-for-5 with seven RBI, four runs, and one triple. That triple was his first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Victor Marceletti, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs and one RBI.
Wiseburn- Da Vinci kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. They are a perfect 11-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
Shalhevet's record is now 7-11. As for Wiseburn- Da Vinci, their record now sits at 16-10.
Shalhevet might still be hurting after the 10-0 defeat they got from Wiseburn- Da Vinci in their previous matchup back in April of 2022. Can the Firehawks avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
