Baseball Game Preview: Beverly Hills Normans vs. Inglewood Sentinels

Beverly Hills is a perfect 6-0 against Inglewood since March of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Normans will head out to square off against the Sentinels at 3:15 p.m. Beverly Hills is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.9 runs per game this season.

Beverly Hills is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They were the clear victors by a 24-2 margin over Centennial on Thursday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Normans.

Cameron Park made a big impact no matter where he played. He pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Park was even better at the plate, getting on base in all five of his plate appearances with three runs and two RBI. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in hits (three).

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jayden Ibarra, who went 3-for-5 with three runs, four RBI, and two doubles. He has become a key player for Beverly Hills: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 6-11-1 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Emet Polack, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run.

Beverly Hills always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .682. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Meanwhile, Inglewood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They lost 13-2 to Lawndale.

Beverly Hills' record is now 9-11-1. As for Inglewood, their loss dropped their record down to 3-15.

Beverly Hills came out on top in a nail-biter against Inglewood in their previous matchup back in March of 2024, sneaking past 3-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Normans since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
