The Williams Yellowjackets's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their 12th straight loss. They fell 30-20 to Biggs. Williams lost against Biggs in their previous head to head back in January, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 60-19 score last time.
Several Yellowjackets players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Lupita Zuniga, who scored seven points along with five blocks. Zuniga is crushing the block category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Mia Rivera, who scored six points along with ten rebounds and two steals.
Williams' loss was their seventh straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-17. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 18.9 points per game. As for Biggs, their victory bumped their record up to 14-11.
Williams does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Biggs, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Etna at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Biggs is facing Etna at the right time seeing as Etna is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
