The Liberty Bison will be playing in front of their home fans against the West Valley Mustangs at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
Last Tuesday, Liberty lost to Tahquitz on the road by a decisive 48-33 margin. Liberty has not had much luck with Tahquitz recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Despite the defeat, Liberty got a solid performance out of Alex Barajas, who scored 19 points.
West Valley can finally bid farewell to their eight-game losing streak dating back to last season thanks to their game on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged Perris out 37-35. That looming 37-35 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for West Valley yet this season.
Liberty's defeat dropped their record down to 8-8. As for West Valley, their victory ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-6.
Liberty was able to grind out a solid win over West Valley when the teams last played back in December of 2023, winning 39-30. Will Liberty repeat their success, or does West Valley have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
