Basketball Recap: Trinity Prep Piles Up the Points Against Napa Christian

While Trinity Prep didn't have the best season last year (they finished 5-8), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They really took it to the Napa Christian Knights for the full four quarters, racking up a 60-30 victory. Fans of the Crusaders have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.

Trinity Prep found their leader in sophomore Allie Duncan, who dropped a double-double on 34 points and 13 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Duncan has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Avigail McDonald, who went 6 of 15 en route to 15 points along with seven rebounds and six assists.

Trinity Prep smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive boards in five consecutive matches.

Trinity Prep's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-0. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 19.3 points per game. As for Napa Christian, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Trinity Prep will take on Rio Lindo Adventist at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Trinity Prep is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 56.2 points per game this season. As for Napa Christian, they will face off against Summerfield Waldorf at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Summerfield Waldorf's defense has only allowed 23.7 points per game this season, so Napa Christian's offense will have their work cut out for them.
