The Gregori Jaguars will head out on the road to face off against the East Union Lancers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. East Union took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Gregori, who comes in off a win.
Gregori scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Hughson 67-64. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Gregori got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Alanah Lopez out in front who scored 22 points. Lopez continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Veronica Whitten, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Meanwhile, East Union was the victim of a rough 69-45 defeat at the hands of Atwater on Tuesday. East Union was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 41-15.
Gregori has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 6-5 record this season. As for East Union, their loss dropped their record down to 6-3.
Gregori came up short against East Union in their previous meeting two weeks ago, falling 59-52. Can Gregori avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
