The Desert Christian Academy Conquerors will face off against the Yucca Valley Trojans at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Desert Christian Academy will be strutting in after a victory while Yucca Valley will be coming in after a loss.
Desert Christian Academy headed into their last game having not scored more than two runs for three straight, but San Jacinto Leadership Academy let them put that streak behind them. Desert Christian Academy was the clear victors by a 15-5 margin over San Jacinto Leadership Academy on Friday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Conquerors as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Christian Adamson made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over four innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off one hit. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2024.
In other batting news, Desert Christian Academy got a massive performance out of Westin Abarrate, who scored two runs while going 3-for-3. Another player making a difference was Judah Garrison, who scored two runs while going 3-for-3.
Desert Christian Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .686. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Yucca Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 6-5 heartbreaker at the hands of Desert Mirage.
MacInnes Dahlberg made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 2-for-3.
Desert Christian Academy's victory bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Yucca Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 0-3.
Yucca Valley's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Wednesday. Desert Christian Academy has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 6.8 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Yucca Valley, though, as they've been averaging only 3.3 strikeouts. Will Desert Christian Academy keep running through batters, or will Yucca Valley buck the trend?
Desert Christian Academy beat Yucca Valley 7-2 in their previous meeting back in February of 2022. Will Desert Christian Academy repeat their success, or does Yucca Valley have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
