Adelanto was led to victory by Heavenly Alexander and Nina Lacy. Alexander scored 19 points along with six steals, while Lacy dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds. Alexander continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Jamiya Cantrell, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Barstow has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost ten of their last 11 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season. As for Adelanto, they pushed their record up to 13-7 with that victory, which was their third straight at home.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Barstow will take on Victor Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Victor Valley is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak. As for Adelanto, they will head out on the road to face off against Granite Hills at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Granite Hills will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 1164th, while Adelanto is ranked 460th).
